Summary

What will always stick in my mind from this experience is the image generator. It was the most fun I have had at work in a long time. I also enjoyed flickr and youtube. Those discoveries ere the most unexpected and surprising.

I don't see anything that you could have done differently. Once I got use to the flow of the program and the blog and posting thing it was easy. I would definitely participate in a similar program if offered. t30

2.0 experience

Overall experience was great. I was introduced to new stuff, very good. I have been using the internet for informational purposes only, but because of this experience I feel that I will increasingly use the internet for other areas in my life. This course also made me more willing to embrace the technology that is here. What I liked most was wiki, rss feeds, youtube and image generators. I felt that flickr and podcast and video were pretty cool. I did not care for library thing and rollyo. However I am more comfortable with the IM since this experience. I'm still not crazy about social networking.

After looking at other libraries web pages, I am impressed with how you can enhance the page by using this technology. The library that had the podcast of a book reading in the catalog was good.As I age and situations change in my life, I am sure what I have learned here will be of good help. t29

Rollyo

I like the possibilities with Rollyo. It's a good concept to have trusted websites on a topic grouped together and found in one location. I can see it being very useful for students research or anyone working on special pojects. t28

LilbraryThing

I did not care for librarything that much. But that is just a personal choice. I dont enjoiy cataloging my readings and I found the site a little hard to navigate. I can see how other would like the site. It is a good way to keep of with you readings. So I would recommend this to customers who are looking for a way to share. t27

Image Generator

What a blast! I explored the hairmixer generator. I never knew I could look so good. (It's great to dream) That program is a good way to see what you would look like with new hairdo. The others I looked at were the magazine generator and the chinese writer generator. But the hairmixer was the one I had the most fun with. I don't know right now how this could be useful in my job, unless I was doing a program flier and wanted to use a image of myself in a different light.... I'll think more about that. But if the opportunity ever comes up were I need the use of a hairmixer, I'll be ready. Thanks 2.0 T26

podcast and video

I went to the Denver public and listened to the podcast of books being read. It was great. it made me want to go to their website and see what other neat things they had. What a fantastic marking tool for library collections. This web 2.0 thing is getting better all the time. T25

Podcast

I knew what a podcast was, but I did not know about the podcast directories. I looked at the npr directory but was unable to subcribe to any or even listen to any. This was because every site I went to was blocked. But this lesson was useful in knowing about the directories.
